Taken a back!... But

When my younger brother showed me this I was so excited because I get my own wand I get sorted and I have an arsenal of spells! Wicked... But I cant seem to play against him in nearby matches with Bluetooth or normally or even online matches as it gets stuck searching forever. Is the game dead? Can anyone help me? I cant find anything anywhere with help
